18@8, 2007

In 2005, Wei-Ling Gallery opened it doors with much pomp and ceremony to their inaugural exhibition 18@8, which featured 18 selected artists at No.8 Jalan Scott (the gallery's address).

This exhibition has since become a fixture on the gallery’s calendar and in 2006 Wei-Ling Gallery in collaboration with Amin Gulgee Gallery, Karachi Pakistan, took the second instalment of 18@8 to Karachi, Pakistan.

The 18@8 exhibition has become a definitive event on the local arts scene and is the gallery’s selection of 18 contemporary artists, who have made waves in 2007 and will be the ones to watch out for in 2008. The list changes every year.

This year's 18@8 exhibition once again promises to deliver the best of contemporary Malaysian art and will feature major works by Amin Gulgee, Anurendra Jegadeva, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Chan Kok Hooi, Chin Kong Yee, Choy Chun Wei, Daud Rahim, Hamidi Hadi, Ivan Lam, Juhari Said, Kim Ng, Multhalib Musa, Sabri Idrus, Wong Chee Meng, Yap Sau Bin, Yau Bee Ling, Yusof Ghani & Zulkifli Yusoff.

18@8 will feature at Wei-Ling Gallery from 5th to 28th November 2007.
