In line with the Chinese Zodiac Calendar which marks 2010 as the year of the tiger, Wei-Ling Gallery is partaking in an exhibition entitled, The Tiger Show.

Without connotations or reference to ‘tiger show’ performances in Thailand, The Tiger Show at Wei-Ling Gallery is a thematic exhibition focused on this handsome beast and what it symbolises. The sexy and somewhat cheeky title has been used to stimulate the artists into individualized interpretations and creative impulses derived directly and indirectly from the tiger.

The theme will be a crowd puller, and will be certain to generate interest among the audience, both from art lovers and the man on the street, of what to expect from the exhibition.

The 12 participating artists are Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Umibaizurah Mahir, Zulkifli Yusoff, Anurendra Jegadeva, Chin Kong Yee, Jalaini Abu Hassan, Justin Lim, Marvin Chan, Phuan Thai Meng, Yusof Ghani and Jeganathan Ramachandram.

Incidentally within this pack of artists, Yusof Ghani and Jeganathan Ramachandram are born in the year of the tiger.

The Tiger Show promises to be one of the key events on the art calendar this year.
