Art Stage Singapore 2018

Wei-Ling Gallery is delighted to announce their participation in Art Stage 2018 in Singapore. Art Stage Singapore is hailed as the most prominent art fair in South East Asia, and will bring together over 120 galleries from 27 countries. This marks the gallery’s 7th time participating in Art Stage, following Art Stage Jakarta in August 2017.

For the general booth (booth number B3), the gallery will be showing a key selection of represented artists to present a cross-section of artists working in Malaysia at the moment, namely important socio-political commentator Anurendra Jegadeva, photographer and painter Chin Kong Yee, Pakistani sculptor Amin Gulgee, contemporary artist Cheong Kiet Cheng, mixed-media and collage artist Choy Chun Wei, and visual artist Rajinder Singh.

The gallery will also be working with Rajinder Singh to present, a performative work entitled  ‘The Undiscovered Country-reflections on mortality through performative art.’

The Undiscovered Country is a performance event created specifically for Art Stage Singapore 2018. Artists Daniela Beltrani and Rajinder Singh have invited four fellow artists to a meditation on death and dying through performance art at Singapore’s premiere art fair with Kuala Lumpur’s Wei-Ling Gallery. The artists involved are award winning performance artist Ezzam Rahman, Daniela Beltrani, Sophia Natasha Wei, Isabelle Desjeux and Tinu Verghis in collaboration with Dublin based Malaysian artist Rajinder Singh.
