Contemporary Czech Glass @ Wei-Ling Gallery
Wei-Ling Gallery, together with StudioGlass London, is set to raise the bar of the Kuala Lumpur art scene by showcasing the works of Czech artists. This is the first exhibition ever held in Malaysia that is solely dedicated to Czech artists – Ivana Houserova, Ales Vasicek and Jirí Šín.

Czech’s tradition in creating mural, glass and crystal works has been recognised since the Middle Ages. The famous Bohemian crystal originated from that country. In the spirit of preserving this heritage, several modern artists from Czech revisited the art of crystal making.
With a strong technical understanding of sculptural and graphic expression, Houserova, Vasicek and Šín impose their modern interpretation to Czech’s traditional crystal art technique. The result is an innovative, sleek and contemporary collection that maintains the unrivalled craftsmanship of the Czech crystal.

Contemporary Czech Glass will be exhibited from May 12 to May 28.
