Ng’s Idyllic Surroundings
KUALA LUMPUR: Artist Kim Ng is presenting his fifth solo exhibition at Wei Ling Gallery in Brickfields.
In the exhibition titled “An Idyllic Space”, Ng’s works refer to his childhood and the time he spent growing up in a small town.
His works also show his interpretation of the sights and sounds of the cities he has visited around the world.
“I have always been interested in places where the buildings and houses are structured systematically and I like the unique street names that I have come across.”
He uses a stencil technique and finished paint, and some of the artwork are made from materials like bitumen, charcoal and silk screen.
He has a master’s in design and media art from the University of Westminster, London.
The exhibition ends on Friday.
Wei-Ling Gallery is open from Monday to Friday (noon to 7pm) and Saturday (10am to 5pm). For enquiries, call 03-2260 1106.
