line-height: 24px; color: #666666; text-align: justify;\">\n<p>In conjunction with the Year of the Rooster, Townhouse Gallery has invited 8 of the leading contemporary artists in Malaysia to give their own individual interpretations of the Rooster.<\/p>\n<p>The artists who&#8217;s works can be seen at this show are Ahmad Fuad Osman, Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Bayu Utomo<\/p>\n<p>Radjikin, Hamir Soib, Masnor Ramli, (who make up the progressive MataHati art group, and who coincidentally<\/p>\n<p>are all born in the year of the Rooster),and Ng Kim Peow, Choy Chun Wei and Yau Bee Ling.<\/p>\n<p>Ng Kim Peow is an artist and a printmaker who returned from London recently, and is a Master&#8217;s graduate from the<\/p>\n<p>prestigious London Guildhall University.<\/p>\n<p>Choy Chun Wei who is a graduate of London&#8217;s Central Saint Martin&#8217;s School, received an Honourable Mention at the Phillip Morris Art Awards in 2003, and has with his wife, the renown artist Yau Bee Ling, been awarded the sought<\/p>\n<p>after Rimbun Dahan Residency this year.<\/p>\n<p>It is certainly inspiring and interesting to see how the same theme is examined and executed by the various artists using<\/p>\n<p>different techniques, mediums and styles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-av_hr-9a4b51fdc01b8b13bd201ffe5054f031\">\n#top .hr.hr-invisible.av-av_hr-9a4b51fdc01b8b13bd201ffe5054f031{\nheight:35px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='hr av-av_hr-9a4b51fdc01b8b13bd201ffe5054f031 hr-invisible  avia-builder-el-8  el_after_av_textblock  el_before_av_textblock  '><span class='hr-inner '><span class=\"hr-inner-style\"><\/span><\/span><\/div><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><\/div><\/section><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CuRRENT\u00a0|\u00a0PAST works\u00a0|\u00a0press release Rooster Mania Group Show In conjunction with the Year of the Rooster, Townhouse Gallery has invited 8 of the leading contemporary artists in Malaysia to give their own individual interpretations of the Rooster.
